Depois de sua saída do Purple, a idéia era lançar um álbum solo, mas o apelo de colocar o nome "Rainbow" foi mais forte.No entanto, no line-up de "Stranger In Us All" não há nenhum outro músico que tenha participado de outros discos do Rainbow.

A sonoridade do disco é perfeita para agradar os fãs de qualquer fase da banda, o play oscila bastante entre as abordagens épicas do Rainbow da era Dio e as viadagens dos anos 80, "Hunting Humans" é provavelmente o momento mais pop do álbum lembrando a última fase citada e ao ouvir "Ariel", Fantástica e Mística... não tem como não lembrar de "Stargazer" e há até momentos que lembram Deep Purple além de passagens em que Blackmore deixa claro sua paixão pela música renascentista, estilo que seguiria após a turnê desse álbum no Blackmore's Night com sua noiva que aqui se encontra fazendo backing vocals.

Apesar de ser impossível comparar com um específico álbum anterior do Rainbow e não conter nenhum integrante "da casa", a identidade da banda continua intacta, com destaque para o ótimo vocalista Doogie White que foi cotado para ser vocalista do Iron Maiden inclusive.Infelizmente o álbum não obteve grande resposta da crítica e nem grande divulgação sendo ofuscado pelo "Purpendicular", ainda assim, é considerado pelos fãs como uma pérola esquecida.

Journey to the Centre of the Eye é o primeiro albúm da banda de rock progressivo inglesa Nektar lançado em 1971. Devido à sua natureza narrativa, é chamado de uma ópera rock ou álbum conceitual.

Muito bom o som progressivo Dessa banda alemã. Com algumas influências de  bandas como Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Yes e ELP talvez, embora não tão dominada pelo virtuosismo de seus músicos, mas ainda sim consegue fazer um barulho, uma viagem bem organizada de instrumentos buscando o inimaginável.

Ken Hensley é tecladista, guitarrista e vocalista, tendo liderado a banda britânica Uriah Heep durante seus anos de ouro, sendo também seu principal compositor nos anos 70. Seu estilo de tocar o órgão Hammond é um dos mais influentes na história do rock, juntamente a outros ícones como Jon Lord e Keith Emerson.

Kenneth William David Hensley nasceu em Londres, Inglaterra, no dia 24 de agosto de 1945. Aprendeu a tocar guitarra aos 12 anos, e mais tarde passou a ter o órgão Hammond como seu principal instrumento quando teve como companheiro na banda The Gods o guitarrista Mick Taylor, que mais tarde se juntaria aos Rolling Stones.
Em dezembro de 1969, Hensley se juntou ao quarteto Spice, que com sua entrada mudou o nome para Uriah Heep. Uma das mais lendárias bandas de hard rock inglês, tendo influenciado milhares de artistas posteriormente, desconhecidos ou conhecidos (como Queen, Iron Maiden e King Diamond, por exemplo).
Compositor de mão cheia, Hensley foi responsável por cerca de 90% do material clássico do conjunto. Além disso, tocava órgão Hammond, piano e sintetizadores, guitarra e violão, e fazia vocais de apoio ou principais. Com o Uriah Heep, Ken ficou até 1980, tendo gravados discos seminais como "Look At Yourself", "Demons And Wizards", "The Magician's Birthday" e "Sweet Freedom".
Nos anos 80, Ken se juntou ao grupo norte-americano de southern rock Blackfoot, com quem gravou um par de discos, antes de se aposentar por vários anos, até seu retorno já no final dos anos 90. Embora sua carreira solo tenha se iniciado ainda nos tempos do Uriah Heep, foi com seu disco solo "A Glimpse Of Glory" que ele retomou o gosto pelo estúdio e pelos palcos. Sucederam-se novos lançamentos, que continuam até os dias atuais.
Em maio de 2000, Ken se reuniu ao vocalista John Lawton e ao baixista Paul Newton, e se apresentaram no Corrib Rest, em Londres, Inglaterra. A partir daí foi formada a Hensley Lawton Band, que excursionou pela Europa durante um ano, deixando apenas um registro ao vivo ("The Return"). O grupo se dividiu em 2001 entretanto, com Hensley formando uma nova banda, chamada Free Spirit, que contava com o guitarrista Dave Kilminster (John Wetton, Keith Emerson, Roger Waters), o baixista Andy Pyle (ex-Wishbone Ash, Savoy Brown, Blodwyn Pigs, Gary Moore, etc.) e o baterista Pete Riley (Keith Emerson). O Free Spirit excursionou até 2002, não deixando registros oficiais.
Desde 2002, Ken Hensley vem gravando novos discos e fazendo shows esparsos para promovê-los. Seus músicos de apoio variam, com exceção da All-Stars Viking Band, formada por músicos escandinavos que freqüentemente se reúnem para alguns shows junto a Hensley, culminando com o evento anual "Ken Hensley Summer Party", um mini-festival realizado na Noruega no meio do ano.
Em 2006, Hensley fechou contrato com a gravadora Membran International para o lançamento de seu mais novo disco, "Blood On The Highway". Trata-se de uma ópera rock, onde as composições de Hensley são interpretadas por diferentes cantores: Glenn Hughes, Jørn Lande, John Lawton, Eve Gallagher, e o próprio Ken. Uma série de concertos especiais, contando com a presença de Ken Hensley e sua banda de apoio Live Fire (ex-All-Stars Viking Band), mais os vocalistas convidados que participaram do disco, está prevista para 2007.

Ao vivo, o Scorpions jamais soaria igual, e a saída de Ulrich Roth foi um golpe quase fatal para o futuro da banda. Como capítulo final dessa fase, "Tókio Tapes" pode ser facilmente incluído como um dos mais brilhantes registros ao vivo do Heavy Metal, onde a guitarra de Roth, alavancada pela a energia e o peso do restante da banda , faziam do Scopions uma avalanche de Metal que se consolidava ainda mais como o primeiro nome do Heavy Alemão.

John Sykes (Reading, 29 de julho de 1959) é um guitarrista da Inglaterra conhecido por seu trabalho como guitarrista no Whitesnake no final dos anos 1980.

John Sykes começou a tocar aos 14 anos, quando foi morar em Ibiza, na Espanha, com um tio. Voltando a Inglaterra em 1976 começou a tocar numa banda chamada Streetfighter, que tocava covers. Algum tempo depois passou num teste para guitarra para banda Tygers Of Pan Tang que estava começando a ter algum sucesso pelo Reino Unido. Sykes colaborou na gravação de 3 álbuns de estúdio e resolveu sair, após receber um chamado de Ozzy Osbourne para substituir Randy Rhoads, que havia morrido num acidente aéreo em 1982.
Acabou que Sykes não foi mais chamado para tocar com Ozzy, e ele ainda tinha um single em contrato com sua gravadora, na qual ela decidiu chamar o vocalista do Thin Lizzy, Phil Lynott para participação. A parceria deu certo e foi lançado o single Please Don't Leave Me. Com isso John Sykes foi parar no Thin lizzy, pois faltava um guitarrista após a saída de Snowy White. Com o Thin Lizzy lançaram um único álbum, Thunder And Lightning, em 1983, seguido de uma turnê por Japão e Europa, que foi a última da banda, que encerrou as atividades.
Com o sucesso internacional no Thin Lizzy, Sykes recebeu uma proposta de David Coverdale para tocar no Whitesnake. Ainda meio relutante, Sykes exigiu uma quantia bem alta para isso para ver se os empresários de David ainda continuariam com a proposta (pois Sykes não gostava do som da banda e ainda tinha planos de tocar com Phil Lynott). Acabou que ofereceram a quantia que Sykes pediu e ele foi tocar no Whitesnake.
Sykes gravou alguns overdubs para o álbum Slide It In em 1984, e saiu em turnê mundial com a banda (ele queria ser o único guitarrista da banda e chegou a ter uma briga com o outro guitarrista, Mel Galley, que algum tempo depois quebrou o braço, e Sykes passou a ser o único guitarrista da banda), fazendo um show antológico na primeira edição do festival Rock In Rio, em janeiro de 1985. Sykes não só foi eleito como o melhor guitarrista do evento, como também ganhou o apelido de "Zé Gatão", por ser o músico mais bonito de todos no festival (Há quem diga que ele recusou a Sõnia Braga no camarim. Ela que era a mulher mais desejada pelos brasileiros na época). O guitarrista mostrou seu temperamento forte nas horas de folga ao se recusar a dar entrevista ou querer ser filmado.
Após isso, Sykes deu um descanso e passou os 2 anos seguintes escrevendo para o novo álbum do Whitesnake, que começou a ser gravado em 1987. As relações com Coverdale já não eram muito boas, pois David via que a figura de Sykes começava a fazer mais sucesso que a dele, que era o dono da banda. Mesmo assim a banda grava em estúdio músicas como Crying In The Rain, esta que ganha uma nova versão, e os futuros sucessos Still Of The Night, Is This Love e Bad Boys. Coverdale estava com problemas na voz e passava por tratamento, e a relação com Sykes chegou ao extremo após o guitarrista tentar convencer Coverdale a ele mesmo gravar os vocais para finalização do álbum. Coverdale considerou isso como um insulto e resolveu demitir John Sykes, assim como todo o restante da banda que gravou o álbum, e gravar tudo de novo com um novo pessoal (o que foi recusado pela gravadora). Apesar de tudo, Sykes ainda retornou ao estúdio para regravar as partes finais de guitarra, pois não queria que outro guitarrista gravasse algo do álbum (que acabou ocorrendo, com a participação de Adrian Vandenberg em Here Go Again).
O Whitesnake fez um sucesso mundial, e Sykes como estava demitido da banda, seguiu seu próprio rumo, montando o Blue Murder, que acabou tendo ele próprio como guitarrista e vocalista. A banda lançou 2 álbuns em 1989 e 1993, sem sucesso. Após isso John resolveu seguir seus álbuns seguintes com seu nome, Sykes.
Em 1996 John Sykes se reuniu com Scott Gorham e trouxeram de volta o Thin Lizzy, como uma forma de homenagear a obra de Phil Lynott (que morreu em 1986). Apesar de muito criticado no ínício a banda seguiu e tocou até 2001, quando Sykes resolveu dar uma parada e retornar a sua carreira solo. Em 2004 o Thin Lizzy voltou a ativa, mas em 2010, Sykes anunciou sua saída da banda para retornar seu trabalho solo.

Gary Glitter (Paul Francis Gadd, Banbury, Oxfordshire, 8 de maio de 1944) é um cantor e compositor de Glam rock que ficou muito popular nos anos 70.

Gary foi condenado várias vezes por crimes relacionados à pedofilia. Em 1999, passou quatro meses em uma prisão na Grã-Bretanha acusado de manter material com teor pornográfico infantil.Em 2002, foi expulso do Camboja e em 2008, foi libertado de uma prisão vietnamita após três anos de prisão por tentativa de molestar duas meninas. Em antecipação a sua libertação , o governo das Filipinas declarou que o cantor não é bem-vindo no país.

Alabama Thunderpussy é uma banda de stoner rock e southern rock formada em Richmond, Virgínia nos Estados Unidos no ano de 1996. Após passar por várias mudanças de formação, a banda assina com a gravadora Relapse Records e tem a adição de mais um membro novo na banda, desta vez o escolhido é Kyle Thomas (ex-Exhorder e ex-Floodgate). Membros da banda tocam em vários projetos paralelos, como o Birds of Prey e o Axehandle.
