Vinnie Moore é um guitarrista americano pouco conhecido, mesmo entre guitarristas, mas posso garantir uma coisa, quem conhece tira o chapéu para o cara.

Ele já tocou com Alice Cooper, tem uma carreira solo fantástica e atualmente toca com os caras do UFO (grande banda hein!). Bem, mas o que estamos destacando aqui é a carreira solo dele, que começou oficialmente em 1986 com o fabuloso Mind´s Eye. O estilo é metal instrumental neo-clássico, ou seja, imagine uma orquestra detonando os violinos a mil por hora...pois é, só que ele não toca violino. É guitarra mesmo, e como toca!

O post em questão é o segundo trabalho, Time Odyssey, lançado em 1988. O estilo ainda é o mesmo, ou seja, pau na máquina a la Beethoven, Chopin & Cia! O cara estava naquela onda de fritar escalas (não se esqueça, estamos falando de um álbum de guitarrista dos anos 80!), mas, no bom sentido, pois o cara entende do riscado como ninguém. Destaque para o trabalho discreto porém eficaz do tecladista Jordan Rudess, hoje mostrando todo o seu talento no Dream Theater.
